The school inspector Ernesto Grieco, former podestà of the Municipality, in this precious work, the only one on the history of Buccino after the monograph by the lawyer Giuseppe Sacco of about 60 years ago, composes a picture of the history of the Buccine community from its origins to the 1950s. Despite some obvious errors, especially in the old part, the volume, on the other hand, remains very precious for the contemporary events of the Author and for “medallions” dedicated by Inspector Grieco to the illustrious Buccinesi. Difficult to find, continues to represent an obligatory starting point for research on Buccinese history.
